What is Sofa Steps?
Three foam steps plus two guides: Measure Your Sofa and First Steps. Price £49.99. That is the offer. Not a block of foam on its own.
Who is it for?
UK homes with a small or medium dog around 20 kg or less, and a sofa around 40 cm. Dachshunds, cockers, terriers, spaniels, Frenchies. Not Labradors or Shepherds.
Will it fit our bed?
Most UK beds sit well above 40 cm. Measure that bed. If the number is over 48 cm, this three-step set is the wrong product. Do not buy it hoping it will invent extra height.
Do we need the socks?
No. Indoor grip socks, size S, are optional extra traction on wood or tile. They are not required for the stairs. £9.99 on their own, or in the Sofa Time Kit at £55.99.
Why not cheaper Amazon stairs?
We do not try to beat Amazon Basics on price. Sofa Steps is the stairs plus a fit check and a first-evening method. If you only want the cheapest foam block, this is not that listing.
Is there a spare cover?
Not yet. We have not sourced a matching spare. There is no Sofa Starter Set until the sample has been measured. Do not wait for a cover that is not for sale.
The first week
What arrives in the carton, and how to start without scaring the dog.
They arrived squashed.
That is packing, not a defect. Leave 24-48 hours on a flat floor. Using them while they are still a brick is the usual one-star story on foam stairs. Read First Steps before the first try.
The dog will not go up.
Treats on the first tread. One calm tread at a time. Do not lift them onto the top as a shortcut. Some dogs take an evening. Some take days. We do not promise that every dog will use the stairs.
The stairs moved.
Sit them tight to the sofa. Check the floor. If the base moves under a hand, stop. We will film the sample on wood and tile. Until then, treat movement as something to watch, not a slogan.
Should we practise coming down?
Yes. A jump off the sofa is the moment this set is there to replace. Practise down as well as up. Stay beside them for the first few goes.

Where do you ship?
The United Kingdom. Dispatch dates will be printed only when supplier shipping is confirmed, not as decoration. See Shipping.
Can I send them back?
A written UK returns policy will sit on the Returns page before launch. Until it exists, we will not advertise a 30-day Right Fit Promise. Measure first so you are less likely to need it.
Do you have the exact centimetres?
Not yet. The ranges we publish today are sofas around 40 cm (36-44 cm likely) and dogs around 20 kg or less. Exact height, width and depth of the set we sell will be written once the sample has been measured.
Two sofas?
Two Favourite Spots is two identical sets for two sofas whose height you have checked. It is not a sofa-plus-bed pack. A tall bed is usually above this three-step set.
Is this a medical aid?
No. Foam steps for sofa access. We do not treat arthritis, cure joints, or prevent injury. If you need veterinary advice, that is a different conversation.
