01They arrived squashed. Are they broken?

No. The foam ships vacuum-packed so the carton can travel. Leave it on a flat floor for 24-48 hours. Using the stairs while they still look like a brick is the usual reason for a poor first night.

02Will my dog actually use them?

Some dogs walk them the same evening. Others watch for a few days. First Steps is in the box: treats on the first tread, no lifting onto the top, and practise coming down as well as going up. We do not promise that every dog will adopt the stairs.

03Is this high enough for our bed?

Usually not. This set is for sofas around 40 cm. A typical UK bed is taller. Measure the seat you actually want them to reach, floor to the top of the cushion. Use the sofa check.

04Why not a cheaper generic listing?

We do not try to beat Amazon Basics on price. Sofa Steps includes Measure Your Sofa and First Steps, so you can check the height and start without a scare. A wrong size or a wobbly first try is how these sets get left against the wall.

05Do we need the socks?
